Presenter: Brie McWade

Growing up, Brie spent many years crafting, learning, and enjoying a wide range of creative styles as a kid and again while raising her own kids. Many afternoons were spent in museums or art classes. Brie’s creative practice was largely a personal and private one until the opportunity arose to be an elementary school art docent for her children’s classroom. Formulating lesson plans to educate youngsters on prominent artists, art movements, and a variety of mediums was one of the most rewarding opportunities in her career. Seeing kids come alive with art and creativity gave her a strong desire to want to continue guiding in creativity.

Her graphic design and branding clients have benefited from her longtime art background through brand building, custom illustration in logos, and packaging design. In 2023, Brie began guiding again, holding a monthly schedule of creative workshops at Composed Living (Woodland Hills, Los Angeles) where she is also a gallery artist on display. Today, drawing almost exclusively in black ink, Brie can spend as much as 60 hours a month making drawings or engaging in her creative practice.
